Staging the House

Poor Carol has had to work so hard staging the Bobcat Lair to sell. And Anita has done an incredible amount of hard cleaning and packing. But, wow, it looks so different!

The den (Anita’s living area), where you used to just walk down a narrow path.

Removing a zillion books and doo-dads that Anita and I love has made the house look all modern and spacious. It’s weird.

The mirrors are finally up in this bathroom. It’s so beautiful.

Yeah, barely looks like my house, but it should sell fast, we hope. I mean, heck, it has a wine room!

I needed that yesterday.

So, if you know a rich person who wants to live in a beautiful, quiet neighborhood in Austin with amazing neighbors, I can hook you up. Enjoy some more pictures. The professional guy comes today, and of course, it’s raining.

  1. Good for Penny! 💖💖💖 There is just something comfortable and reassuring about a dog.

Looking forward to hearing about the new chicks. 🐣🐤 Good luck 👍

  2. Where did they get the rugs? Really good choice. Staging is lovely, although a few books; middle of the road, craft/hobby, one or two best sellers wouldn’t hurt, at least IMHO. 😉😄 We’re getting an Amazon distribution center here and houses with just a new slapped coat of paint are going like the proverbial hotcakes. Maybe, just maybe it will add some decent eateries to the area that will stay open past 9pm. Ugh!

I wanted to ask about the puppy and the stairs. Is she doing better?

    1. The rug in the living room came from West Elm (it’s my rug–the furniture is all mine or Anita’s). The one in Anita’s bedroom is hers. It’s “real.” She has a lot of cool rugs. Things sell really fast in Austin, too, which is why I wonder why we had to work so hard on staging, but who knows, it might bring more money that way. I do hope you get good restaurants. There sure aren’t many (any) in Cameron. And Penney just got better in a few days, after Lee encouraged her to go down a few times. She is such a neurotic dog, but he loves her! (You know how he is about dogs!)
