Here are the birds observed at the Hermits’ Rest in August 2026. The weather wasn’t great, and I was gone a lot, so only 75 species were spotted (last year there were 90). I started putting bird seed out on my big stump, but they didn’t find it yet. There were no new species, but the Caspian Tern who was here last year in August was here again, so not a fluke!
