This morning I waved goodbye to Eva and Joe, found out what was going on with the rest of the family, and realized I was gloriously alone for a while. Lee and Kathleen are still in west Texas, Mandi has other issues, we canceled Sunday dinner due to stress and confusion, so no visitors today. Alone.
Part 1
Of course, being me, I felt compelled to write up stuff for work blogs and volunteering blogs. And I’m late on my LLL newsletter, so I worked on that.

After 5 hours of writing, I’ve declared I deserve some recharge time. No one can keep going and going forever.

Grateful for the break, I finished this month’s book club book, Remember Me Like This. I’ll review it later. (You may not have noticed, but I didn’t review last month’s. I couldn’t finish it.)

Then I took a clue from the family members who were guarding the house with me. Time to snooze and watch my favorite teams play football. It’s allowed!
Part 2
At some point, the dogs all woke up and ran to the door. So, since it was “only” 99 degrees outside, I took them for a walk.

Carlton and Vlassic enjoyed barking at calves, but didn’t get very close, thanks to angry Mama Cow eyes and Alfred firmly telling them to back off. Aww.

By the time we got back to the pond, they were hot. They managed to find their way into the water. Much running and splashing ensued.

Alfred decided to roll happily, instead. He’s such a happy monster.

I guess seeing them so happy is worth missing a touchdown. Now, back to work. Or hey, magazines are staring at me.

Have a nice Sunday. What are YOU doing for yourself today?
