Sometimes when there’s nothing particularly bad going on in your life, there’s enough going on with your friends that it makes your head spin.

I joke that when that recent Mercury retrograde period ended, supposedly making communication easier, it suddenly caused people to just start spilling all their past indiscretions, stuff perhaps no one really needed to know, and painful memories.

Meanwhile I sit here being sorta relieved most of my potentially over-sharing relatives are on some other plane and no longer able to blurt stuff out. (My Mom did plenty before she passed, though.)
My empathetic little soul may have taken a beating, but I’m sure glad that I can be there to listen to my friends who need an ear!
Other Rough Stuff
And if that’s not enough, I went with Mandi and her dad to finalize her divorce. I went alone my first time, so I don’t want that to happen to anyone I care about.

I’d never been inside the Milam County Courthouse before, and I was not disappointed. The renovation some years ago was very well done. I enjoyed looking at all the little details while we nervously sat around.

By the time all the officials came in, it wasn’t so bad. It’s nice to know the DA, and I got a little chuckle when the judge gave the fancy wall clock a dirty look, because he, too, noticed it hadn’t been wound and was telling us it 8:45.

However, the judge was very kind to Mandi, and she did so well at a hard time. She and her Ex did a great job putting their kids first, and I’m proud of them.

That courthouse is neat, the library there is too. Just in case you do not know, you go down to the main floor on North side and down to basement to bathroom and water fountain. Stairs can be tricky.
