Brody was lying by the gate. He didn’t get up when I honked the horn at him. My poor boy had decided to chase one last car. The dogs were out with Lee, because he was mowing and keeping an eye on them. My heart broke.
We’d just had him two weeks here.
It hadn’t happened long before I found him. Thank goodness I didn’t see someone hit him and drive off.
One year old.
He was a very loving, perhaps a bit too protective at times, strong, intelligent dog. He brought us much joy, and sometimes worry.
For all their fighting for dominance, they loved each other.
Brody loved Lee. Please keep Lee in your thoughts. They were constant companions.
These guys loved to survey their domain from one of the porches.
That’s about as much as I can write right now. I’m still rather in shock. It’s sure hard to lose an animal companion. I am usually ok with it, knowing we live longer than them. But he was young and healthy.
I was always thinking, unless instinct took over and I just HAD to chase things.
Enjoy some pictures of Brody having fun. We’ll sure miss this dog. There’s a hole in our hearts.
He ahd Harvey liked to play in the water.Exploring the woods was always a favorite, especially if there was something to roll in.This is him in “thup” mode. He loved to lick people’s faces. We didn’t love it back. But he made a great “thup thup noise. He sure loved this thing. After running around in the summer, he’d just dive in.We have so many memories of him sitting on this window sill. It will be hard to see it empty.Farewell, dear friend. Hope to see you somewhere down the road.
