Which food, when you eat it, instantly transports you to childhood?
My mom made it in the electric frying pan she cooked everything in. She made little wells in the canned hash and put eggs in them. Two for each of us. I ate it like it was ambrosia.

I didn’t realize it was popular either, until I looked up the recipe. I thought my mom had made it up. Apparently it’s popular camping food. I may have to cook it soon.

I always thought of it as “blue plate special’ el-cheapo diner food. If you don’t have a lot of cash, a plate of hash will fill you up. And SO tasty!
